Our programs increase self esteem while increasing standards and preventing young girls from falling into the trap of negative stereotypes and low expectations.
of our participants are economically disadvantaged.
By addressing socioeconomic and gender issues that affect the academic achievement of many inner city girls we can positively shift the trajectory of our participants life and learning.
We have integrated financial literacy into our program curriculum to shift the generational economic limitations that majority of our participants have inherited.
When reaching significant milestones in the program, participants receive free hair braiding services as a reward that ultimately satisfies their cosmetic needs which studies have proven is directly linked to self-esteem.
The mentorship portion of our program helps to add an additional layer of accountability both academically and relationally with teachers and parents.
Thorough training in categories such as Hygiene, dining etiquette, preparing balanced meals, conflict resolution, and personal development are all covered in our curriculum.
Join us in the 1000 campaign , a year-long journey to mentor 1000 girls while enhancing their quality of life and relationships with teachers, peers and parents.
